This is our Minecraft Dungeons review. It’s a fun game for the whole family, but does it deliver the full experience?
So here’s a story about a bunch of Boomers with Pickaxes and a thirst for a new adventure.
Minecraft Dungeons delivers an experience that’ll make you question yourself, “Is this Minecraft or Blizzard’s Diablo 2?”
The Pros of Minecraft Dungeons
Because this is Minecraft Dungeons, everything is easy to read, or simply button mash and figure out via trial & error.
Basic enchantment mechanics makes upgrading your character easily.
Salvaging old gear allows you to invest the points into Newer and better gear with a variety of abilities.
Minecraft plays well on both Controller & Keyboard and mouse.
However, we found it felt best played on a xbox controller.
Because the game is literally a clone of Diablo, you walk in just already knowing how to play the game.
You even begin to think the starter town kinda feel like Tristram, no?
Cons of Minecraft Dungeons
I wish I knew this was only a Demo before I invested 5 hours of my time.
You’ll starts with a couple missions and quickly unlock the rest of them on the island.
We were shocked to discover that this was the only island include.
We soon discovered 7 other unlockable islands, each their own Paid DLC package.
For our Microsoft Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscription, we only got 12.5% of Minecraft Dungeons and a 10% off coupon.
Our $16.99 x3 Sub fees totaling $50.97 and we haven’t even factored in DLCs or taxes is too much.
We cleared it in 5 hours.
Here’s you YouTube Playlist of us clearing it.
This is a fun Demo for the family to enjoy.
You get 1 of 8 islands for your $20 odd dollar purchase which is 12.5% of the game.
Unless the Ultimate edition is included in the Ultimate Game Pass, it’s simply not worth the money.
